The all-new Cloudflyer brings extra cushioning and stability to your run. Its patented CloudTec® system is engineered with Zero-Gravity foam so the shoes weigh in at less than 300 grams (10.6 oz). It’s ultra light, yet incredibly stable and supremely cushioned. Welcome to our frequent flyer program.
The Cloudflyer lets you run the way you are meant to run, and that means a short and sweet touch-down, a natural transition, and a stable platform. Get ready for incredibly soft landings and explosive take-offs. With the Cloudflyer, On is taking on gravity and setting you free. Long runs have never felt so short.
The "Cloud" elements come with a predefined collapsing line supporting the forward momentum and the horizontal movement. Extended low abrasion rubber pads at impact zones provide durability.
Compared to the Cloud, the Cloudflyer offers a wider surface area. The wider platform provides a stable stance and gives you secure comfort on long distance runs.
Preordered my cloudflyers with overnight shipping. I needed new shoes for an 8k Thanksgiving race because my cloudsurfers got a crack in one of the rubber pods earlier in the week. I ordered them site unseen, and hoped the fit would be the same as the cloudsurfers.
These cloudflyers feel great, and the initial stiffness was broken in and comfortable after a quick 5k workout. First impressions of running are good cushioning without being spongy and squishy. It is a springy type of cushioning instead of a running in jello feeling. I can really feel the wide platform in the heel that wants to make the shoe track straight forward instead of rocking to one side. I felt very sure footed in these during my race, even over potholes.
The lacing system is neat in how well they cinch up and stay tight. The laces cause the upper to wrap the foot very well. The laces are thin and slightly elastic, and they stay tied really well. There is lots of mesh in the upper that can expand for a good custom fit. I was impressed with how locked in my foot felt with the mid foot wrap.
My race went well, and I set a new personal best in these shoes today. My feet felt great during and afterward! I'm excited to have great shoes under me for my half marathon in 2 weeks.
Durability is yet to be determined, but in judging the design, the pods are very thick, so I don't think they will crack or wear out as quickly as the thin rubber pods on some other models.
The color looks better to me in person than on the website. I have the dark grey and light blue ones.
Thanks for a great pair of shoes just in time!
I've ran halfs/full Marathons in Cloudflyer WOW/OMG, great
feels like their wrap around your feet. I've been running for years and have a half dozen name brand running shoes at all times. Cloudflyer have become my favorite shoe!!
These shoes have been great. When I started running with these I realized my knee and back pain went away. Later on I injured my foot and these are now the only shoes I can run in without any pain. The engineering of these shoes has saved my back, knees, and feet allowing me to still enjoying running without the residual side effects I've had with other really great brand name shoes. I've been so pleasantly surprised, beyond what I expected a running shoe to do for me!
