These are beauty.
I was at my (11-year-old) son's soccer game, and saw a pair of these (in Red/Flash) on a mom from the opposing team. They were so lovely I immediately Googled them on my phone (although, never having heard of them, I searched for "QC running shoes" -- but they still came up). As she passed by me on her way back from (I assume) the bathroom, I asked her about them.
She told me where she bought them, said she loved them, and that they were great for running short distances, and then really put her stellar humanity on display by taking one of her shoes off to try to tell me what specific style they were. (I have always hated it when I compliment someone on something they're wearing and they merely thank me -- I mean, come on, I want at least a little bit of an origin story! "I got it on sale at Target last year," or, "It belonged to my great-grandmother." I mean, help me out -- I need to know my chances of getting one for myself! So Cloud X Lady has forever earned my appreciation and respect by trying to give me as much information as possible, when I didn't even ask -- because I'd already found them online! But I digress.)
Exactly six days later, I had these beauties on my feet, and she was right about everything -- including her advice to try them on with the socks I was going to wear with them. I ordered mine online, so I didn't do that, and I ordered my regular size. I'm happy with that, and this morning's inaugural (4-mile) run went just fine -- but they do seem a WEEEEEEEE bit on the small side -- so if I'd bought them in a store, I definitely would have asked to try half a size up, at least for comparison. As it is, I am duly impressed with the way these bad boys make my size 10 feet look kind of dainty -- CUTE, even!
I definitely see another pair of these in my future -- possibly in another six days! :-)
