A world-class triathlete, Matt Russell grew up in Northern New York. During high school he discovered a passion for running and later in college took up cycling, enjoying the challenge of pushing his body beyond limitation. In 2010, he started competing in triathlon and quickly earned his professional license. Racing against the best, Matt suffered a near-fatal accident at the 2017 Ironman World Championships. Simply surviving the crash gave him the strength and gratitude needed to compete at the same race just one year later; truly defying all expectations, he placed 6th.
