The all-new Cloudflyer brings extra cushioning and stability to your run. Its patented CloudTec® system is engineered with Zero-Gravity foam so the shoes weigh in at less than 300 grams (10.6 oz). It’s ultra light, yet incredibly stable and supremely cushioned. Welcome to our frequent flyer program.
The Cloudflyer lets you run the way you are meant to run, and that means a short and sweet touch-down, a natural transition, and a stable platform. Get ready for incredibly soft landings and explosive take-offs. With the Cloudflyer, On is taking on gravity and setting you free. Long runs have never felt so short.
The "Cloud" elements come with a predefined collapsing line supporting the forward momentum and the horizontal movement. Extended low abrasion rubber pads at impact zones provide durability.
Compared to the Cloud, the Cloudflyer offers a wider surface area. The wider platform provides a stable stance and gives you secure comfort on long distance runs.
I was recently training for the 2016 SF 1/2 marathon with some difficulty. A foot injury combined with competitive dancing had left me unable to wear the same brand of shoes I had previously raced in a couple of years ago, and I never imagined it could be so difficult to find the right shoe for my body mechanics. I was excited to get back to running, but in the 2 months prior to my event, I went through 3 pairs of shoes and still could not comfortably complete greater than 10 miles by the week prior to my race. My calf strain was so bad that I was only getting 1 training run in per week and I hoped to still finish. I had researched this brand on-line and I really liked the design concept, but didn't seek them out in a nearby store due to time constraints with the upcoming race.
I finally (by chance) saw the shoes in person at the Expo on the day prior to my race. I am a sports Chiropractor and have been in practice for nearly 20 years. I have made numerous sets of custom casted orthotics for patients and I understand biomechanical issues. So when I inspected the design of this shoe in great detail and tried them on my foot, I was sold. I then proceeded to run an entire race the next morning in a shoe I had never worn before, which is something I would have *never* considered if my other options hadn't failed me so miserably and I was simply out of time to try anything else. I tried the shoe on once and immediately knew that my prospects had just gotten better.
I finished. No calf pain. No strain. Minimal muscle soreness. No blisters, wear on my heels or hot spots. No exaggerated pronation/supination, and no knee pain. I ran comfortably for 13.1 miles without any pain after not being able to complete my last few weeks of training runs. Thank you for designing a shoe that provides light stability for pronation but still has a neutral foot bed, can accommodate an orthotic without over-correction, has plenty of room in the toe box and just enough forefoot to rear-foot differential that it encourages proper foot strike without fatiguing the calf muscles. BRAVO!!! Thanks a million.
I bought my first pair of Cloudflyers at the NYC Marathon expo and then did the runners cardinal sin. I ran the NYC Marathon the next day in my brand new pair of shoes. And let me tell you, it was the best decision I made. They were amazing and comfortable to run in. In addition, I didn't have any blisters after the race. Now I don't recommend buying a brand new pair of shoes and run a marathon in them. But if you do, you might look at On shoes.
I found this brand On accident, lol... I was reading the news one morning on my phone and I noticed the On Cloud banner so I clicked On it and OMG i'm so glad I did! I am On my feet 12 hours a day and this Sneaker ROCKS!!
I am Looking forward to my next pair! I have decided to purchase a pair once a month until I have every pair if that tells you anything.
If you're serious about your running, just go try them On. Bye Bye NIKE, REEBOK I have no more use for you!!
Thank you On Cloud for a Great Job On Design and colors there AwEsOmE!!
