The Grip-Rubber profile of the Cloudventure performs in the most demanding conditions. Its sole is micro-engineered with four distinct levels of grip, so you’re in control on the trail, and the street.
The Cloudventure family is built with an ingenious 2-layer upper: a breathable, light and durable water repellent outer layer, combined with a highly comfortable inner layer that extends on the Midtop to the ankle, for extra protection and support.
The unique lacing of the Cloudventure Midtop distributes support over the whole top of the foot, to avoid pressure points. It is oriented in a diagonal line to follow natural foot movements - you can see it, but you won’t feel it.

“No other trail shoe has the capability to make you feel comfortable, free and confident to tackle what “Mother Nature” throws at you.” - Ben Allen, XTERRA world champion
“Growing up in the Swiss Alps, we learned a thing or two about running in the mountains, which is why the Cloudventure offers so many innovative features for trail running” - Olivier Bernhard, On Co-Founder and six-time Ironman Champion.
Light and fast that you can reach the peak in time to watch the sunrise. Reliable grip for when a thunderstorm catches you by surprise. And clever cushioning to save your legs when you are flying back down to reach the valley before it gets dark. The Cloudventure.
so light it is like wearing nothing but air, absolutely fantastic trainers, 10/10 5 stars, thank you,i will never buy anything else, plus the black neon really stood out, lots asking "where can i get a pair"?
i love ON shoes, this is my 4th pair. support, fit and comfort are excellent. grip is ok BUT i find the grip very disappointing with wet surfaces. in particular on wet rocks the grip is way poorer than other shoes and sole technologies. given trail running is the primary purpose of this shoe, this is a significant flaw.
a minor gripe is that the laces are to long and you risk tripping easily unless you use the extra hole which i dont like.
As soon as I received the shoes, I just put on my feet and went running for 8k, in the national park trail, lots of hills, soft sand, rocks, pavement and grass... all in the same track.
Positive: fits well on feet, high quality cushioning, lightweight, perfect for downhill.
Negative: The extended layer protection makes it a bit hard to wear the shoes.
There should be a feature to hide the shoelaces, as it's long and gets stuck in the branches, leaves and what you may find in your track.
