The Cloudventure Peak boasts a secret inside: the patented On Speedboard. This is what promotes explosive forward-motion on the ascent, yet also provides protection for the foot on uneven terrain - a sort of Swiss-army-knife for your feet.
The 4 level Grip-Profile of the Cloudventure Peak means that on any surface, you have the traction to feel in control. With the grip built on to the Cloud elements themselves, soft landings and firm take-offs still happen, even in the wildest race conditions.
Invisible taped reinforcements in the ripstop upper of the Peak envelope your foot in the ideal fit and secure hold, while protective heel and toe caps further protect you from whatever the trail has in store for you. All up: less things for you to worry about on race-day.
The Cloudventure Peak is one of the lightest trail running shoes on the market, yet still provides you with the grip, protection and support needed for race-day. The flexible outsole lets you retain your foot’s power every step up the mountain, while CloudTec® supports and cushions your decent to the finish line first.

I'm not a runner, but I'm on my feet a lot traveling, meeting with clients, presenting and just the basic on-the-go. The shoes are incredible. I've worn them literally all day and couldn't be happier. They're so light it's like wearing nothing. We're planning a trip to Disney World next year and needless to say these shoes are going! In fact I'm going to order my fiancee a pair for Christmas for our trip.
I can't say enough about these shoes! Excellent!
Having previous had 3 pairs of road running shoes from ON (newly converted since Jun 16) I cannot recommend them enough and I was after a shoe that would allow me to run on trail routes; alas the release of the Cloudventure. Arrived 2 weeks ago and I've trained with them over a military training area with differing terrain. The stability is comforting over dynamic trails including steep hills; whether running on sand or loose stones, the sole absorbs the impact that is not felt through onto the foot. They're a must have and although slightly more expensive than other brands, the durability and comfort make them a second to none. Oh and by the way I'm not a pro runner, just for pleasure and personal fitness.
Simply unbelievable shoes. I have been running trail marathons and ultras for about 10 years and have gone through a number of shoe brands. Been with Hoka for the last four years and due to a recent buy-out the quality of Hokas overall has deteriorated incredibly. I tried a ON Cloudflyer in a whim and loved it, so I bought a pair of Cloudventures and used them right out of the box for a trail marathon in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. The shoes were perfect! No break-in required, and enough structure and support for someone who typically uses a conventional moderate support shoe. The Cloudventure seems very narrow when switching out of something like a Hoka or Saucony, but caused absolutely zero foot discomfort for a very muddy, wet, and technical marathon. Foot placement is important to prevent ankle rolls, but the cushioning and protection on roots and rocks are amazing. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DON'T CHANGE THIS SHOE!!!
ps: I won my race and earned my final points for 2018 UTMB!!!!
