Thanks to its patented CloudTec® system, the 13 “Clouds” close and lock for a natural transition for a faster take-off. It all adds up to you spending more time in the air. And even if you are not focused on speed, time will fly by faster with the Cloudsurfer at your feet.
The Cloudsurfer brings together what normal running shoes don't: the soft landing of a training shoe with the dynamic kick of a rapid competitive shoe. Making the Cloudsurfer the ideal companion for traning and racing. “The adaptive sole balances every pace and truly trains the running muscles,” explains Olivier Bernhard, the multiple Ironman champion and co-founder of On. “The Cloudsurfer really does encourage its wearer to adopt a more efficient running style and greater body stability.”
“The On is the fastest running shoe I have ever tried. Its 3D cushioning turns long runs into short ones. It’s light, comfortable and fast” says the marathon legend and UN ambassador for Sports and Peace, Tegla Loroupe. With world records in 20, 25 and 30 kilometres as well as winner of marathons such as New York, Berlin, Rotterdam and London, Tegla is one of the most inspiring persons in the world of running.
I have been running for more than 40 years and I have tried and worn practically every brand there is, with varying degrees of satisfaction. Two years ago I walked into a sports store in Tokyo and tried on a pair of ON cloudsurfers, and I was hooked. Now I run injury free, don't wear my expensive orthotics, and feel great while running and after running. It really is like running on air. I used to be a pronator, but the wear pattern on my shoes now shows pretty even foot strike. The cloudsurfer shoe is really supportive, and has a long-lasting sole. Also lots of space in the toe area. I have to tie four or five knots in the laces to stop them coming undone, perhaps ON could work on the laces. I live in regional Australia, so I also love the fact that I can order them online and no expensive shipping costs. Well done Team ON, you really have made a great pair of running shoes!
I bought the cloudsurfer last Nov (2016). I've been using the shoe to kick start my marathon training for my commute runs between 5 and 10km. It's a really comfortable shoe with unique forward momentum and I like the drop to the forefoot as it really feels like your using your feet with the right amount of cushioning. They look great too. I work for Natterjack Running and recommend them most highly to our customers.
