Feeling Like I'm Cloud 9!
After the first few runs (following the break-in period), I knew that I had come across a game-changer. I had originally decided to purchase a pair of the Nike Vaporfly 4%. But I got sick and tired of having them sell out before even getting a chance to add them to my wish list. So I chose to move on...
On is a relative newcomer in the world of running. But it has already made this runner (yours truly) a believer in its product line. This beautiful piece of Swiss engineering combines style and substance. The design elements come together wonderfully for the Cloudflow, arguably one of the most aesthetically pleasing running shoes I have ever come across. The technology translates into a remarkably light, cushioned (true-to-size), and highly-responsive running experience, well-suited for the entire gamut of race distances (I've run anywhere from 5Ks to 50Ks).
I've just recently retired my pair (after 550+ miles), and will most definitely invest in another set or two. The Cloudflows are ideal for intermediate-level runners (heel-to-toe drop in the lower end, which requires greater calf flexibility and foot strength) and midfoot to forefoot strikers. But by no means are they exclusive to this group.
The Cloudflows were designed for road race terrains (cement/pavement). As such, they do not performance adequately with gravel/trail surfaces. The Cloud "pods" do allow for pieces of small pebbles and rocks to accumulate, which can affect running form and performance. But apart from this issue, I did not have any problems with them.
Overall, I highly recommend this product! Try it out for yourself! Get that cloud 9 feeling!
