When we said Dominic was taking the racing scene by storm, we weren’t kidding.
Feeling good for the first 10km, he started to then struggle with a stitch. But that didn’t stop this rising star from giving it all he had until the very end.
I was feeling good and fast for the first 10km. After that, I had a stitch, so I slowed down a bit. It started to get better and then at 20km I really gave it all I had.
Not only did Dominic cross the finish line first, he clocked his personal best over the half marathon which was the highlight of the day.
To cross the line first made me, of course, very happy. It was a personal best – my fastest time yet. And next time it will be even better. I want to thank my coach for all the support that he gives me. I am very happy for today!
