Never run a marathon in new shoes, right? Wrong.
We’re so confident in our latest model that that we challenged runners of all abilities to wear a new pair for the New York Marathon as part of the Out of the Box Challenge.
Just to be clear, that’s running 26.2 miles or 42.195 kilometers in a pair of brand new shoes that they have no history with.
Luckily for us, 20 brave runners were up for the challenge.
And, luckily for them, they weren’t wearing just any pair of brand new shoes. Instead, they were wearing the second-generation of the podium-topping, record-breaking Cloudflow, which officially dropped last week.
Find out how they got on in the video above, or find out how we re-engineered our most-decorated shoe with feedback from elite athletes below.
The Out of the Box challenge was open to all runners taking part in the New York Marathon.
We were very grateful to receive hundreds of applications but, unfortunately, could only choose 20 people to be part of the fun.
Participants were given a brand new pair of Cloudflow shoes and kitted out from head to toe in On performance apparel for the marathon.
The Out of the Box Challenge will return later this year at another major world marathon, so stay tuned for more information…
