On welcomes Hellen Obiri to the family

The only woman in history to win world titles in indoor track, outdoor track and cross country, as well as silver medals at the 2016 and 2021 Olympics, Hellen is the latest athlete to join the On Athletics Club. And we couldn’t be happier.

Originally from Kisii, Kenya, Hellen and her family will be making the move to Boulder, CO, USA where she can expect to receive a warm welcome from the local On community – including the On Athletics Club and world-renowned OAC Head Coach Dathan Ritzenhein.

“I am eager to train with the team and move with my family to the US,” said Hellen. “I’ve never trained for so long outside Kenya, so it will be a challenge but something new, and it’s good to try new things.”

Hellen will be training with the OAC as she strives to add more accolades to an already legendary resume, first at the World Athletics Memorial Agnes Tirop XC race in Kenya, and then as she takes a shot at another 5,000m medal this summer at the 2022 World Championships.
