Run Your Local Mountain 2020

On is back with the Run Your Local Mountain challenge and this time, we’re reaching for new heights. We smashed the 10,000,000 m goal last year by more than double. So this year, we’re aiming higher. 40,000,000 m high to be precise.

The Run Your Local Mountain Challenge

It’s the challenge to go as high as you can in your familiar surroundings. Step outside, search for the highest point and get there!

No mountains? No problem. Find the steepest hill in your town or do laps on a flight of stairs. All that matters is elevation and teamwork! Individually, each participant needs to log a run that totals just 200 meters in elevation gain – but there's no limit, so go as high as you can!

As a team, the goal is to reach a combined total of 40,000,000 meters. It's a bold target, but you smashed it once so we know you can do it again. Teamwork makes the dream work; it’s only possible if we do it together. Plus, there's a prize up for grabs...

Go solo, or join an event with a participating retailer. Whether you’re running solo, or with a group – it’s all about teamwork. Join the On community on Strava to see how we’re doing.

Get ready to run higher and further than you thought you could with a little extra team spirit! Join in on community and dealer hosted events to clock the elevation together. Plus, test out our trail running shoes and loads more fun stuff.

Don’t forget to check COVID guidelines – we want everyone to stay safe, have fun, and gain those meters! For that matter we have decided not to create collective trial runs. Instead, you will be able to come to the retailer, grab a pair of On in exchange of your ID, and run your local mountain as a trial run!
