Q&A: Julian Carr

Where do you find your inspiration, your Edge?

I like to look just beyond boundaries, what is the road to the infinite? An edge is a construct of a boundary, which is a comprehension of how humans have predefined traveling around our planet etc. We're only gifted with the ability to comprehend so much, I believe, whether we can comprehend or not, there is a lot just beyond the curtain...

To what do you attribute your success?

Placing my emphasis of success on happiness & health.

What role does running / physical exercise play in your life?

Mountain running is a pillar of my life. It's a simple pursuit, climb a mountain, breathe in views and the sense of accomplishment, run back down. It's primal, it roots me.

What advice would you give to someone looking to take their work to the edge?

Define yourself, believe in your goals and abilities, never let someone along your path define who you are. You'll hear lots of "no's" and encounter failures along the way, these people, these failures don't define you, or you'll let them. Keep going, believe in yourself.
