Cloudventure Midtop

My first pair of Cloudventure mids came in yesterday. They look really cool and with a some minor struggle with the bootie, I was "floating" around the house with these shoes. Props to the young lady from ON who helped me. She was super knowledgable (she knew of and understood my issues with a neuroma in my right foot) and helpful. I love these shoes but the "we'll see" in my review title means I'm concerned about how the soles will hold up. I'm a big guy, 6'4, 225 and wear size 14 wide (no wide sizes but getting to that in a bit). The cushioning and support is incredible for a shoe this light. I got these for doing some trail work but they will go on the pavement the majority of the time. I wear out the soles on my Brooks after 250-300 miles so let's see how these do. I wear 14 4E's in Brooks so I was leary about getting these in 14 medium. There seems to be a good amount of toe box room but I probably won't be a return customer until ON offers wide sizes--I can tell these are on the borderline.

so light it is like wearing nothing but air, absolutely fantastic trainers, 10/10 5 stars, thank you,i will never buy anything else, plus the black neon really stood out, lots asking "where can i get a pair"?

i love ON shoes, this is my 4th pair. support, fit and comfort are excellent. grip is ok BUT i find the grip very disappointing with wet surfaces. in particular on wet rocks the grip is way poorer than other shoes and sole technologies. given trail running is the primary purpose of this shoe, this is a significant flaw.
a minor gripe is that the laces are to long and you risk tripping easily unless you use the extra hole which i dont like.
