Mixed Feelings
I don't have a set weekly routine, but partake in both high altitude, multi-day hikes globally as well as local day hikes around Asia. While I think the Cloudventure is great on the trail for my more casual hikes, I'm not satisfied with its grip on "smoother" surfaces in wet conditions. I've used it a couple of times in the rain over the past half year, and had to be especially careful going downhill since I've almost slipped a few times. Now I only use them when I know the terrain will offer more traction. My mother also bought these soon after me, and has had the same issues. I would recommend those deciding between the regular Cloudventure and the Waterproof to go for the regular one. The waterproof function of the shoe was cancelled out by its grip on flat surfaces.
