Separated by a central channel, the CloudTec® sole responds to your individual gait. The Cloud elements are affixed directly to a semi-transparent Speedboard allowing each Cloud element to move individually.
The Cloud is the lightest fully cushioned performance running shoe in the world. Designed for runners who want a minimal running shoe with maximum cushioning. Built from Zero-Gravity foam, the Cloud weights less than 200 grams, making it a perfect lightweight performer.
The CloudTec® sole is formed from a super-light, flexible and responsive Zero–Gravity EVA foam. Additionally, the deepflex grooves provide a natural range of motion and extreme flexibility.
Forget about lacing up your running shoes: The On Cloud features an easy-entry lacing system that can be adapted to your foot. A conventional lace comes with every Cloud for tighter lacing.

Right from the start, Swiss Olympic Gold medalist Nicola Spirig made the Cloud her shoe of choice: “I even realized a new personal best in my first race after the Olympics with the Cloud”. At the 2014 European Athletics Championships in Zurich, Nicola set her new personal record at the marathon distance with 2:37:12. But that wasn’t enough. In December 2014, she entered new territory: She laced up her Cloud for her first Ironman race in Cozumel, Mexico - and won the race running the 41.2 kilometers in 3:06:19 - after a 3.8 kilometer swim and a 180 kilometer bike ride.
In 2015 the Cloud was awarded the prestigious Gold Award at ISPO, the international sporting goods trade fair, as the 2015 best performance running shoe. "The Cloud from the young Swiss running shoe brand On attracts runners and athletes of all endurance sports. It is a lightweight training shoe, yet it provides comfortable cushioning through the special cushioning system of the midsole and outsole construction. The stylish upper material is very breathable and a true design statement for running shoes”. Urs Weber, from Runner’s World and in the ISPO-Jury

hello to everyone, my name is Joanny Rodriguez and am a Olympic Hopeful Track & Field sprinter for Venezuela and i have suffer from shin splints and knee problems for along time now. ever since i came across On i have to say i have not had any shin splints or any other issue. i have tried all models and i love them but my ultimate go to is the Cloud. i love they way they feel on my feet and when i run or sprint it literately feels like am running on clouds. if your looking to do a lot of speed work i recommend Clouds or Cloudracer they ate both amazing. i definitely recommend this shoe if your a serious or a casual runner.

After walking into my favorite running store and realizing they were no longer going to sell my favorite Adidas Energy Boost, I began my quest for my next favorite. Yes there was a scene like an 80's movie with the mall fitting room montage complete with runway walks and short test jogs through the store.
The On Cloud were the pair who came home with me and the very next morning were strapped on with the regular laces. Twenty miles/32.2km later my feet were hurting more than I am used to. Bummer. But, I thought it probably wasn't best to take out a new pair of shoes on a long run like that. So, the last 2 days I have worn the Cloud shoes regularly to let my feet adjust to slightly less of a drop from heel to toe and get a feel for the shoes. It's getting better and I'm enjoying them a bit more ... on my short runs during the week, I will certainly be getting a better feel for them.
The shoes themselves: while at first they did not feel like the little pillows on my feet I had gotten used to with the Energy Boost, they did fit nicely and snugly which my smaller, more narrow foot needs, I have learned. While stepping and running is where that 'cloud' feeling is more noticeable and, as a heel striker, I really need the cloud-like love back there. These certainly are providing that. I am hoping as they see a few more miles, the overall foot pain I felt on that first run goes away.
So far I would give these 3 stars from my perspective very early in our relationship ...I am hoping for an 'arranged marriage miracle' of sorts in that I grow to love these Clouds and my feet soon say "Energy Boo-who?". We shall see.
